Vanesha McGee: writer, educator, person of color

I am a black female writer. As a former school educator, I have a unique background that connects adults with youth in ways that are underestimated and so desperately needed. Information and cultural links, both past and present, are important frameworks that need more space within our classrooms. My writing puts an emphasis on the importance and value of these understandings and supports teachers in bringing this work into their everyday teachings.

This blog brings culturally relevant topics directly to teachers. Each post highlights ways to bring specific content into classrooms which can then be tailored for individual classroom structures and grade levels. Topics vary from current events to historically relevant content.
